Age 97, died January 17, 2010 at Herrick Hospital. He was born March 18, 1912 in Ramsey, PA to John and Anna (Burkett) Johnston. On October 1, 1938 he married Dorothy Pullen. Al owned and operated Johnston Body Shop in Milan from 1945-1963 and was a life member of the Milan Moose.
He is survived by one son, Thomas (Alice) of Britton and one daughter, Mary Kay (Elwood) Boomus of Chelsea, three grandchildren Cathy and Charlie Boomus and Tracy Trolian and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1993, parents, four brothers, three sisters.
