    We will be holding a club meeting at Jill & Scott's House on Sunday October 25th, 2009 at 3 PM. This will be immediately following the Region 3 Meeting at Jill's Church, if anyone is interested in attending that as well.

    Please bring a dish for the meeting. We will eat, drink, and conduct business!

    Unfortunately, we cannot attend the meeting because all have bad colds and coughs. Based on our symptoms, I don't think anyone would want us there. Hopefully, we'll be able to make the next meeting.

        I can't make meetings my father-in-law is in hospital, he's 83 and not doing well.

          Recovering..

          from a hip surgery last Monday so I can't make it. Hello to all. My new hot ride for next year debutted at Franklin. I got pipes from Martin and now I have a 250MH, so for next year I'll be looking for 250MH on the schedules.

            Here are the minutes from the meeting. Thanks to everyone who was able to attend. Hope everyone has a happy and healthy off-season! See you at our Banquet on February 13th!

            Minutes

            1. Called to order at 4:00 pm
            2. 15 members present.
            3. Minutes read and approved.
            4. Treasurer’s report read and approved.

            OLD BUSINESS

            1. 2009 seasons recap: lost Millville in spring. Lambertville, low boat count. Lock Haven was lower, but anticipate higher count next year. Fall Millville: low count.
            2. Safety Course: 25 people. Online course available. Promote before Spring Millville. Send a thank you card and gift card to Safety Course instructor. Motion made to send them each a $50 Visa Gift Card. Passed.

            NEW BUSINESS

            1. Radios: need new ones! Scott bought 5 on eBay for $91 each. Have 8 total. Need a possible floatation device in case they are dropped in the water. Asking the Historical Society to help offset the cost. Scott is responsible for radios at race site and before and after races.
            2. National Meeting: Jan 27 – 30. Jill, Alex, Ed, and Lisa are going. Ed and Alex are commissioners. Motion made to give $200 per person to: Lisa, Jill, Ed, and Alex. Second and Passed.
            3. Safety boat update:
            a. Scott will keep rescue 3 Silver boat.
            b. Jimmy McCrea has Green rescue boat.
            c. Club trailer is in Millville.
            4. Bad motor needs to get to Ed’s for repair. Alex is responsible for getting the motor to Ed’s. Along with the scale consoles.
            5. New clock being built by Jimmy Shane.
            6. PA System is being re-vamped by Darryl Curry.
            7. Scales: need new ones. Greg will research scales. Region 4 & 6 have good scales.

            2010 RACE SCHEDULE

            1. Spring Millville: April 23 – 24 – 25. Testing on Friday
            2. Lambertville: June 5 – 6
            3. Summer Lock Haven Divisionals : June 12 – 13. Biggest expense is Ambulance. Do not list info for testing on Sanction. Need, in writing to Scott Reed, proposal for National Meeting
            4. Labor Day Lock Haven: 40th Anniversary. Make an event: Dinner, Have the Mayor and city council members come out, do an article in local papers. List more hotels on sanction.
            5. White Haven: 2 weeks or so after fall lock have, they drop the water. Could race on other side. Waiting to hear from Jim Towers.
            6. Fall Millville: Motion made to make second weekend. Passed. October 9 & 10.

            CLASSES

            1. All Stock, All J. Discussion on what MOD classes to race. BMH CMH CMR DMR FEH.
            2. Need to look at past races and see the MOD attendance.
            3. 5 boat minimum for all classes.
            4. Rest of the discussion is tabled.
            5. Need report from past races on MOD participation.

            BANQUET

            1. Maybe at a Hall with hors’dourves and dessert.
            2. Need to be allowed to bring alcohol, and have hotel in the areas.
            3. Need to scale back on costs.
            4. Next year consider having a membership that is more expensive, but includes banquet ticket. Motion made raise club membership to $50 to cover banquet ticket for the 2010 racing season (2011 Banquet). Passed.
            5. February 13th – Site TBD.
            6. Pot Luck: Major Coordination, iPod playlist, decorate, Valentine’s Day Theme.
            7. Fire halls?
            8. Keep the Eatontown Sheraton tentative. Look into other places.

            NOMINATIONS

            1. Treasurer: Sheri Runne
            2. Secretary: Stacy Runne
            3. Vice President: Rich Runne
            4. President: Scott Glossnar
            5. Chief of Staff: Greg Lyons.
            6. Slate passed. 2010 Officers.

            NATIONAL MEETING

            1. Scoring: Divisional Winners qualify for Nationals. They will discuss not having Divisional Winners qualify for nationals. Agree that ONLY last year’s national champion is qualified for nationals. Still keep double points for divisional winners.

            Next Meeting: prior to the banquet on February 13th 2010.

                    Pot Luck Dinners are great make a menu and stick to it with the membership and it can work!

                        Thanks, guys, for including Lock Haven on the summer schedule. June 12-13 should be good to go... Also, thanks for the acknowlegement of the Jaycees' 40th anniversary of involvment in the race. We are looking to do big things as well and would appreciate any help from you guys as well.
                        Regarding hotels, the new Fairfield Inn & Suites is up and running in Lock Haven, right in back of McDonalds... Call 570-748-1580...

                        Any help you need from the Jaycees for the June event? Let us know...
