  • Proxy Vote Region 6 Mtg

I'm "new" to APBA....I'd like to be involved in who/how/what goes into decisions being made concerning MY ability to race as much as possible w/o going COMPLETELY broke....

What mechinism is available for proxy voting? Who are my SORC commishes?

My main concern is regulating motors out, instead of attrition. Like others on Hydroracer, I could give a Rat's behind about points...I wanna RACE **** It. I cannot afford a new motor and w/my 102 I can race 2 claseses with 1 motor and boat...whats the problem with that?????

The answers you seek can be answered probably by anyone listed below on the stock outboard commission list that is posted on the APBA web site. I would however suggest contacting your current region rep. and see what info he can give you. There are many that do not chase points and just want to race. Please remember though that for the good of the sport there needs to be sacrifices made over time. The current classes and engines allowed will eventually be changed and be phased out with time for better class structuring. You just need to be made aware of the changes ahead of the fact so you don't get stuck with an engine that has no home.

    Good Luck!

I almost forgot the contact info for our Commisioners are also listed on the APBA web site as well. Yes we had fun this year at the races. Didn't do as well as we wanted too but we had fun and that's important.

            Region 6 Elections

According to the Region 6 By-Laws on file at APBA headquarters, no proxy votes are permitted in elections in either the Stock, Mod or Pro category. It doesn't say you have to be in attendance to get elected, but you must be in attendance - and a current APBA member in good standing - to vote.

The Region 6 meeting notice has been sent out to all members and is also on the APBA website.

Hope to see a good turnout!!

              Directory

Fyi..the list above is the list of the 2008 SORC. Not the current SORC.
Thanks for pointing that out Jeff. I noticed the 2009 directory posted on APBA site is layed out differently than the 2008 directory. Maybe someone can help out by posting that info as it appears in the 2008 directory.
