    Lake Lawrence Results

Any news on any new records. I hear our National OSY champ "Guedo" may have crushed the old OSY record driving the Byrne Bros. Blue Devil.

      Very Un-Official

I know Peeters was .7 off the 20ss record, .2 DSH record, and I am pretty sure that he got the OSY record with the Blue Devil. I wasn't near inspection to hear for sure, or get speed. Also some folks from out of town, Sweeny I believe set a JH record.

One more thing on the OSY, he was about a half lap ahead, on a 1 1/4 course! It looked like a DSH racing against Yamatos.

I heard Colin Smith upped the record in the 2nd heat after Logan set it in the first. Any truth to this?

                      1 guy, 3 records

Big congrats to Guedo Peeters for setting records in DSH, OSY and push boat. Heck of a weekend young man. Also gratz to Logan Sweeney and Ashley Rucker for their records. Can't ignore the accomplishment of Colin Smith, we know what it's like to have a record for a day. Thanks to all the folks from right of the Rockies for coming out, hope you all had a good time. Thanks to the race committee for getting a heck of a bunch of record racing and testing done. See y'all next year, Tony

If I'm not mistaken neither one of the record setting J Hydro drivers are older than 10 years old. I'm scared to think of the battles these two will have in the future.

There are some who have said the same thing of our DSH record setter.

                          Seriously, congrats, Guedo-you earned it!

Pushboat Nationals is where its at! 94 feet! Whoohoo! Afterwards, Jamie Nilsen was giving me pointers on how to break the 100 foot mark next year...
Also on the top of the list for the weekend was the "wheelie" I pulled off right before the heat of DSH - glad Kyle and Troy got a good view of that. And of course, Colin Smith, for doing some of the best trash talking to me I've ever received! Where'd he learn that from???

                              wheelie in DSH, you say...

Somebody got this shot of your wheelie in 45...

Those Midwest kids represented in pushboats. Michael Sweeney taking the C class with Colin Smith second (those Gowin/Korpe brothers did pretty good too - Ryan won J, Daniel 3rd in C). Very cool to see the Pavlich's and Allen's out this way also.

Long weekend - that Friday test session was insane. Always good to see a few laps of F runabout, especially the way J-Dub and Dwight were running and how loud those big 6s were.
