That was a really great run for Mike A. and also Dustin Pearson on Sundays marathon. I felt like I was going really well and just could not move up enough to battle with those two. I know Mike was thrilled and I was for him as well. Great race.
Well, Big Rapids was truly awesome this year. So many folks commented on how thankful they were that the weather was so nice....after that very challenging weekend last year. Truly a wonderful way to wrap up region 6 racing. What a beautiful location.
I look forward to racing with you all next season. Let's keep support for marathon racing on the climb. KampKurz

Mike...congrats on your win Sunday in C Marathon. I had left by then and didn't get to watch the action. It couldn't have happened to anyone as deserving as you. Your tireless work for stock outboard marathon racing has begun to change the landscape of long distance racing in the midwest. Although I won't be joining the ranks of stock marathon racing any more I will still be out there in my new (to me) "bubble boat". See ya next summer at Top O.
