    Brewster v. Rossman

After finishing second both days to Brian Rossman last week at Kingston, New Hampshire, Jeff Brewster bounced back at Waterford, Ontario to best the 5-N both days.

Brian excited the crowd on Saturday after he hippity-hopped over some rollers only to hit the gas tank of the boat in front of him. The judges gave him a 9.2 for style as he cart wheeled along the water, boat staying right side up.

    Stay tuned - Millville bound??

Noury, you have missed your calling....

You should have became a race promoter instead of a trailer mogul. You had Brian and I so cranked up before we raced at Kingston we both almost got sick before the race!

Brian and I have had a wonderful season battling for 2-US. We helped each other get on the water, left each other a lane and raced each other fair and clean. I am proud of the sportsmanship we displayed.

After a very long season we have decided to end it with me leading at Waterford and not continue on to Millville. Brian has raced many in a row and believe it or not, Christine, our daughters and I have finished seven straight weekends in a row. We are all exhausted, broke and doubt my trailer will make it another mile.

Brian, with his hilarious humor made it fun though by joking he was going to sneak into Millville for more points. (He still needs two races and I need one.)
He wrote on the side of his trailer, "Millville Bound" and sat in his boat yesterday with "Millville or Bust" on the side of his helmet!

I promised him I would have the New Jersey highway patrol watching it's borders this weekend, just in case he decided to sneak across and get points!

I plan to go into semi-retirement next season and focus on my daughter Abigail's first season in JH. My money is on Brian to be the 25ssh champ after next season with his excellent driving skills and speed.

My hat's off to you Brian, you are a true sportsman and champion and I am glad to consider you a friend.

          More pics from Waterford

The aptly named "Frostbite Finale" was perfectly named this year. The cold rain and drizzle started Friday morning and rarely let up for the last TORC race of the year. Many hearty souls braved the weather though and all had some great racing on the infamous Waterford Tri-oval.

(Christine is trying to catch up on her studies tonight so I will post her pics for her this time)

Here are some pics of the driver's meeting:

If you look close at the last pic (person on the right) we were thrilled to have Rob and Norma Dixon return to boat racing for the weekend. After racing motorcycles for approx. the last ten years, Rob came back and raced everything he could get his hands on. Rob looked like he never left boat racing and did very well. Hopefully, we will see more of them next year!

            Sponsored by Bathfitter!

-Many thanks to Bill Keegan for his sponsorship on this race!
-Many great raffle gifts and awards were presented at Sunday's drivers meeting after a scolding by John Knox.
-Ron France and Eric Orchard tried to see who could be a turn judge the longest and never get to get in a race boat.
-Trudy, Christine & Carole almost fed the entire pits on Saturday night with a delicious and warm Can-Am Thanksgiving feast
-We actually saw the sun twice and enjoyed a nice double rainbow Saturday evening after the races.
-The pot was passed and 179.00 was raised towards the purchase of new J propellors for the club. Donations are still gladly accepted!

First Annual Frostbite Finale Scavenger Hunt!!

$100 cash prize to the winner!

              Item hidden:
A bag looking like the attached pic containing roughly $900-$1000 and trophy name plates.

Approx size: 1/4" thick, 4" tall, 6" long, black nylon.

Roots on one side, small Canadian flag on the other.

              Clues:
Item was "hidden" after about 2pm Sunday after the last t-shirt was sold then placed in the cardboard t-shirt box and walked back to our pit and put box in cockpit of boat, then moved to trailer, then into car. Opened box at home and was gone... moved the last couple shirts left in the box and hole in bottom of box large enough for bag to fall through is there, and a new race contest is born! haha.

              Let the hunt begin! LOL.

If you found it, email me at andrew_fralick@indaltech.com during the day or riverrat04@hotmail.com during the evening or call 905-453-7290. Never know where it could have ended up... check all your gear and trailer please. Maybe someone saw it and figured it was yours and put it in your trailer or gear bag or something.

              Thanks!

Andrew you probably already have but did you call the park and ask them to check the trash bins or walk the pit area!

The pit area was walked twice before we knew it was gone just doing general clean up, it would have stood out though I think. I called the park and left a message, not sure what hours they keep since it's off season. The trash was picked up at 5pm Sunday... so if it made it's way to the trash it's gone.

                  We'll see.

                    Thanks to all who particiapted!

Jim Misener is the winner... he found the hidden item! He has no idea how it got where he found it, in a box on his couch in his RV under a pair of gloves with some left over prizes from Sunday morning. haha.

Great news Andrew. I knew that a Canuck would have it, we would have no use for that monopoly money!
