25SSR tends to be a little light in Region 5. However if guys like Tim Weber, Jon Walters, Jeff Rapp, Dave Harrell show up they will typically run 25 as well if needed.

Plus any Region 3 guys that will come down. Good luck and hope to see you in Oct.

It doesn't look very good for me. The race is the same weekend as my son's big Cubscout Jamboree. Unless the scouts change their date, I will be in the north Georgia Mnts. sleeping on the ground, eating bad camp food with about 2000 kids.

Oh well, at least it's not a nationals weekend. We'll look to spring Jesup.

Boy Scouts hmmm wouldn't building a race boat be a good merit badge project?

well I guess you can allways THINK about boatracing when you wake up in the middle of the night tossing and turning
cold ground? REI, Campmore, mountain gear, all sell a thing called a thermo-rest. It is a self inflating air mattress that is made to be used by backpackers, mountain climbers ect. it is compact and light weight and durable. They have been out long enough that they are even inexpensive these days. sigh, when I got into rock climbing, they had not been out very long. I think you can buy 2 or 3 for what I paid for one in the mid nintys.

All PRO classes (without capsules) are invited.

Andrew Kiddy, Justin Pinner, should be in for JH & JR. We also have a new driver Emily that will hopefully come up with her JH.

Oct 24/25 is a good date. The sanction has been submitted, the insurance papers and checks should be to APBA this week.

The plan is to have the kids race 3 times over the 2 days, maybe more time permitting.

350's are invited and will run if they show with enough boats. That goes for all classes - SO/MOD/PRO/J all will run!

                            Look for the Camp Fire

Roger We'll be there with plans to run 2 AXSR, 1 ASR, and possibly put someone in the Hydro to run. TJ plans to run in AXSR for the first time. I probably won't be able to run the C Runabout I haven't come up with a Motor yet. Look for us by the Campfire stop and have a cold one of your choice with your southern Family.
