          • Airfoil

You should see the new one. It should levitate the boat...

Still in design stage on the new Altralite, testing data indicates current air foil only becomes effective mid 60's. We need these storms to pass!

As of today, I have 99% of the decking pulled off, just need to figure out what I'll do with the front cowling. I also have about 95% of the back portion of the bottom removed and am planning to saw out the transom/motorboard within the week. That is, after I get the stringers ready for the new wood/carbon fiber. I really gotta thank Dan Byrne, Dean Hobart and my pops Carl for the ideas, labor, tools and materials.

The 10 yr old wood don't look to bad inside for a boat that has been raced very hard, plus a few aerobatic shows Kyle, after you get the new transom in take a flat sanding board and make sure the stringers are fairly flat before the new bottom goes in. It will make it a lot less work getting a good flat bottom. Otherwise you'll end up doing a lot of sanding/filling to get that bottom the way we like it.

First I would like to say thanks to Kyle and Pav for posting some pictures. I am sure folks are tired of my pictures.

Right now I have been splitting wood so that I can get my shop warmed up. I put the final coat of West System on the deck of boat one with the fast hardener and it just now is finally set up after 36 hours. Boat two is all framed and ready to be flat boarded before installing the air traps and bottom.

Boat three has the wood on order and hopefully I will get a delivery date soon. Sean and I have a tentative work date of the 18, 19 and 20th of December. Should be fun.
