What a race! Over 125 entries a day, fantastic water all weekend, a nice course (3/4 mile) and a very fun party atmosphere Saturday night. Kudos to the race commitee and everybody that came to race and had a blast. Dave Anderson

Yah...the marathon is so fun. Looks like you are getting faster every race Tony. On the down side..I sure feel foolish about forgetting to put keyway in lower unit for my new Tohatsu. Boy...did that thing get hot. 30 minutes after race was over you could barely touch the dang powerhead. Oh well, live and learn. I want to thank Troy Holmburg , Steve Benson, and Howard Shaw for helping me get motor back together for sunday. You guys are the best. Oh ya...thanx to old time racer Dr Alan Bernstein for wrenching for me on Sunday.

        What a good day

I had a great time Saturday, could not be there for Sunday. I saw no obnoxious cursing, childish expressions of tempers throwing helmets, and no big blasts about those stupid Tohatsus. Thanks guys for making this a fun day with my best friend and my 10-year old son.

Dave, I understand you got everything back in order and are running with the best.
        Thanks,
        Neil

          Sunday

Yah...I was suprised at how fast rig was first time out of the box. I am running against the best in the country...which is a good thing. Not sure if Sid knows...but motor would not pump water with used impellor...had to put a new one in. It is sure something I am going to keep an eye on. Dave

            Impressive debut

Big gratz to Dave. That motor looked almost terminal Saturday, went out and ran a strong second in the final heat Sunday. Great pit work, and a TON of potential.

Thanks to my awesome race comittee for getting a ton of racing done in record time. Rick Sandstrom, Dave Anderson, Dave Salmon, Mike Perman and the one and only Lisa Peterson. A great race comittee makes for a great race.

              Race

Yah..we had a great race commitee. I don't think most of the people that race in region ten understand how much work goes into putting a race on. As far as the race committee goes..I was only the inspector. I sure had a lot of help...And I HATE throwing people out for being one pound underweight. come on guys....and girls...throw a little extra lead in...I think over the weekend I had to toss 5 people for that. Makes it hard. Get with it folks.

I was at the races Sunday afternoon to get some pictures for The Dispatch Newspaper in Eatonville. One picture ran in the paper that came out yesterday, it should be up on the paper's website tomorrow at http://www.dispatchnews.com/

What a well run afternoon of racing!! Congrats to the folks running things which I know took alot of volunteer time and effort. Of all the racing events I've been too this one seemed to be one of the best organized.
I also put up lots of the extras on my sports site at www.rainiersportsphoto.com

LOL I thought for sure the corners were banked.

At least it flattens out down the front stretch... but shooting across at the sun made things more difficult.

I must say we had a great time and have already put this one on the calendar for next year. With an extra day before and after the race we got to spent a lot of time with the hosts, George and Mary Henley. They are such nice folks and they both like to talk about there good old racing days.

I also learned that after you hit the start line in a heat for an APBA race everybody goes to lane one and two. Close the eyes and hope for the best. Wildly insane I learned a lot and we still had fun. I need to pick a class with only about 5 or 6 boats.

Saturday evening was great. It was one huge party with everyone in groups around campfires and in the back of trailers just talking and having fun. You could just roam from one discussion to another.

Until next year. At least we have all new tires on our trailer
