2010 Winter/Spring Races

Anyone know the dates of the 2010 Winternationals and the 2010 Region 5 Divisionals? Trying to plan my trial calendar for next year.

Spring Schedule

Region 5 hosted the South East Divisionals in 2009. I could be almost surely say that Region 4 will put in Bid for 2010. We, meaning, Nuccio, Tetro, and myself will be meeting with Ocoee officials right after Labor day weekend. Dates for Winter Nats. will & normally mid March. As soon as confirmed with Ocoee I will be in touch with you. We will pick the date right after the meeting.

Also, what are the dates for SO/Mod Nationals?

Region 4 plans on having the 2010 SE Divisionals at Wilson NC, I would guess second or third weekend in April

Coop, Since the Pro Nationals are always start the last Friday of July. This case being July 30. Region 11 elected not to conflict and give racers travel time from Depue to Oroville. So we picked Sunday Aug 8 move in date. Testing Monday Aug 9. Racing Aug 10.
Racers may want to spend a few days in Reno/Tahoe. Go to the Napa area, San Fransisco etc.
We might move up one day to Saturday Aug 7.
Fo those who want to travel by air. The Sacramento Airport(SMF) is a easy one hour drive to Oroville.

What a shame the dates are so late in August. Guess we won't make the trip next summer. Becky will begin high school at the same time as the Nationals. Mid July would have been better like it used to be.

Howie! What kind of excuse is that?? We ALWAYS missed the first week of school for nationals, and we (the Runne's) all turned out just fine!!

Howie, We really did not much choice as the Pros have Constantine then DePue. That takes up a big part of the end of July. So our only option would be the week of July 11.

hey Bill, is there gonna be some "remodeling" of the pit and launch area to fit all the boats for the Nats?

What we have planned is something we learned from the last couple years Nationals. We will have assigned pit stalls. We will need to keep the pit hogs under control. Autos and RV s' will not be permitted in the pits. We will issue a few passes for autos on a as needed basis. We will have an RV at the Judges stand for use by the Race Committee. Racers will be permitted to enter the pits to drop off items such as Ice Chests etc then will need to relocate to the launch ramp area. There is more than enough room for the pits just need to keep all the autos and RV 's out..
The Park improvements are on hold at this time due to the Oroville Dam re-licensing and the Calif Budget problems. We are moving ahead without the Calif Bureaucrats. There is a very nice RV park not far from the race site "Reflections RV Park." More on this later and please keep the RUMORS at Bay.

Mod Winternationals

The 2010 Mod Winternationals will be in Jesup GA. We are looking at the third weekend in April for them.

don't go cancelling your plans right yet........things always get worked out...........plus, the event is a long ways away......BESIDES, this is a Winter Nats/Spring race topic..................

BTW, why do we keep splitting up the stocks and mods............both can benefit from more entrys when they are combined!
