  • Prop swapping, Big ASR wheel on 20H BSR?

I am trying to get my B rig ready to roll, waiting on our second house deal to close before I make any investments in more gear ie. props. So, I have a large ASR wheel that dewald made as a top-o wheel for me, will it be ok to get out on the water with my 20h BSR? It was under-revving my A by about 400-600 RPM, but was a ballsy prop out of the water. Gear ratios are 16:21 in the 20H and 14:19 in the A, so that is also in favor of the prop working on that bigger motor.

Am I crazy, or should I wait? Its one of John Websters 20Hs, so I don't really want to take any major risks, but will have a tach rigged.

    don't do it.

Unless you're running the 20H REALLY deep on the prop shaft height, (like 3" below the bottom), you need a bigger prop.

Is Crytal Lake on for 2009? I had heard it was not on due to a race in Hartford CT

I think I'll have to cave Andrew and give the Websters a call, I was just trying to avoid 6hrs of driving (particularily directly through Toronto) Ross said he had a prop he thought should work, they have a steering barr as well.

                Thanks for the help guys.

Crystal Lake is on, wuhooo! The lineup looks good.

Jordan, I have a few old BSH wheels.
I'm going to be running one of them on my boat, if they both work then you could use one at Crystal Lake if you need something
