Earl 11 J........Dangerous when WetRunne Craft- Earl said, " Driving a Runne Craft is like Cheating". Dude, ........ Where's My Boat!
Hello All,
I"m a newbie, bought Austin Healy's(Bath NY) ASH rig(18-N) in August. Still driving w his plates on, as have not yet registered own # in CDA. Used to race lake hydro at cottage in youth, been practicing at cottage w ASH since got it. I would have my son(Kristian, 12) race J, but wearing a cast fr surgery 4wks ago. Also bought 2A's from Dorothy Collins in May, both have been owned/raced by the blue bloods of the sport.
Coming to CL from Toronto, likely won't be able to leave TO til early Saty.
I'd like to ride both ASX and ASH, I think your race order has ASH first(time?).
Couple of requests:
1) Can I ask for assistance taking rig off van roof and setting up; would like to make the first race on Saty, Kristian's cast is prohibitive to help
2) Need to borrow lifejacket(6', 190lbs), no flak in my Lifeline which came w boat; have new helmet, cut suit
3) Need a hand to put Xplate on for first time
4) Can someone save me a spot on beach, set me off at 1min mark
Have to thank Andrew Fralick for being an exemplary resource/ambassador for the sport to get me going, endlessly answering my Q's. Also, Wain Trotter; I ran his, now my, KG4 at RFYC, his assistance/knowledge also very generous. Met great pple at RFYC, Shorney/Hendrick/others. I'm thrilled with the camaraderie, and competition I've seen in this sport. Joined TORC at RFYC.
Will be doing Wford in 2 weeks.
Cheers,
Erik Luksep

Welcome to the family Erik,
We should be able to help with all your request. All it takes is ask anyone there for help. This sport (family) will do there best to assist in any way posible to keep racing on the water. So with that being said I would suggest you look and pit with Earl. He is our Andrew for the A's here at Crystal Lake. At this years event he is also campaigning for sportsman of the year. As his unofficial campaign manager I'll volunteer him to be your big bother so to say.
Thanks for the heads up on all you request.
Dean
Attention CBF Drivers:
The joint sanction issue is being attented to. This should be settled today. We (FLRC) Apologise if this caused any problems with your schedule of races.
Earl,
Hope this will seal the deal buddy. I'll keep an eye out for you so we can make sure there is enough space. I'm thinking "Earls going to Disney World"!!!
I'm going to sign off with the saying,
Keep those props in the water. (Bill Dundon) FLRC Commadore
See you there.

Erik; -Spencer and I and many others will be there to help/assist/admonish as necessary
Get there as early as u can
Just tape out the 'N' on the boat and run as '18'
Tape an 'X' on your helmit and report to the ref
Look for '66', and/or '19CE' in the pits.
