Digging into old family secrets to reaffirm that it is truly a family sport with long traditions, here is my wife Jill Kingdon in 1971 in ASH. Jill is Penny Anderson's sister, Susan and Sheryl Rautenberg's aunt, Collin and Ashley Rucker's great aunt, Ron and Dewey Anderson 's sister in law and Howard Anderson's sister-in-law.

Jane Smith along with her husband Ralph ran several classes and ran all of them very well. She ran ASH (KG-4H), BSH (20H Conversion), CSH (30H), AOH/250cch (Konigs, Quincy Looper), C Service Sec II Hydro (30H). I vaguely remember Jane having an A runabout for a brief time, but my memory may not be serving me well on that one. Her C Service boat was one of the last (if not the last) SidSon hydros ever built. Jane passed away unexpectedly in December 1984.

The A Alky pictures were taken at the Norristown (Port Indian), PA Kilos in December (yes, December) 1960. Take notice that people have coats on. If I remember correctly it was maybe? 40 degrees. And even though the CSH pic says Sep 1962, it was probably taken in August. I believe the CSH pic was taken at the nationals at Guntersville, Alabama. That's my Dad holding the boat for Jane.

                      Jane Smith additional....

This had slipped my mind initially. In addition to the classes previously mentioned Jane Smith also ran MOH/125cch with an FM Konig. I never saw it run because they did not run that class around here at that time. She ran it at the nationals, divisionals, and away races.
