My dad and one of my very best friends lost his battle with cancer early this morning. I will try and post arrangements as they are known for his boat racing friends and family.
So sorry to hear of your loss. The loss of a parent is one of the toughest things to endure. Just know that he is in a better place now and will always be in your heart and mind.

Welcome to hydroracer, we hope you enjoy your visit.
I was just informed that Cecil Johnson , Father of Marc Johnosn of Mississippi past away last nite. our condolences to the family and friend of Cecil Jeff
I don't know whether everybody knows how much Cecil did for boat racing in Alexandria. Cecil is the main reason that we have all enjoyed Fort Buhlow Lake. As a matter of fact, I will tell the story how it was told to me. Cecil knew John J. McKeithen, who was a representative of Louisiana and later the govenor. Cecil told him, "John we need to get the Army Corp of Engineers to build a lake in Pineville." He told Cecil, "I have just been elected and had not even found the bathroom yet, and you are already asking to have a lake built!" The rest is history, and that was the beginning of Fort Buhlow Lake. Every driver that ever raced and had fun at Buhlow owes a debt of gratitude to Cecil for his endeavor.
As a past Commodore of the Lone Star Boat Racing Association, and someone that loved all the years of boat racing at Lake Buhlow,
THANK YOU CECIL, HOPE LAKE PARADISE TREATS YOU WELL!!!! FROM JOE ROME
