It's the second system out over the Pacific coming in, but it's way too early to tell when it will hit land, where and how much rain. I don't pay much attention with any forecast over 24-36 hours out...There's not a lot of precipitation forecast for this system at this time.

Grew up in Seattle and they could never get the weather right even with dopler. Always blamed it on the convergence zone but then we moved to Montana. Guess what, they are still never right so now we use the old tried and true "looking out the window". It is never wrong.

So, The Way I Read the Circular...

Saturday WILL BE the Divisionals, if Sunday gets "Blown Out". Is this correct?

Meaning, there will be a race Saturday......(That won't be the Divisionals)...if there is no radce Sunday, Saturday's race becomes the Divisionals...

Correct, Sunday is Divisional's for all classes unless Sunday is blown off.

Traditionally I thought the divisionals were spread out over both days to help out the inspectors.

Typically, we've done Hydro Divs on Sat, Runabout on Sunday (at least that's how it was the last time we had Stock Divs at Cullaby in 2006).

I believe the intent of the 'if not this day, then this day' provision was not necessarily to have all the divisionals run on the same day; but more so that if say we had Hydro Divs on Saturday and got blown off on Sunday, then the Runabout Divisionals would revert to Saturday's results.

Then again, I'm not a member of the conducting club, so I guess it's up to CORA as to how they want to handle it.

That's how I read the circular also, I passed the torch to Lee Tietz on Cullaby.

Well having all the divisionals on 1 day just sounds dumb to me. Especially sunday. How many stock classes are there? 8-10?! Your telling me that your going to run all those classes then tear down motors on sunday?! Sounds like a lot of extra work that should not have to be. Glad I'm not an inspector....someone may want to clear this up in CORA.

                      Legal Fuel

Speaking of inspection... Remember that at a divisionals you MUST have legal fuel.
According to Stock Outboard Racing Rule 18.1
....This rule is not applicable at championship (Nationals, Marathon
Nationals, Winter Nationals, Divisionals, North American) races, straightaway or record races
                      ......
Read the rule for yourself, but the "this rule" being referred to in the above excerpt is referring to fuel of the day.
In simple terms the rule says that fuel of the day is not allowed at a Divisionals.

Some sources I know of for legal fuel are:
                      Morrison's Marina - Lake Union
                      Racing Fuel
                      Av Gas??

Anybody else that wants to chime in please do

                      See you all down there,
                      Mike

                        Divisionals

I originally wrote up the sanction with hydro's on one day and runabout's the other.
It was later suggested by Ernie Dawe that I list the divisionals as sunday only. Pat also agreed with Ernie's suggestion. I agree this puts a lot of work on the inspectors, but I reluctently did as I was told. The idea is that drivers will get some time on the coarse before their divisional race. The actual agenda is to keep drivers from racing their divisional on saturday and the leaving early. Putting a race toegether is a lot of work, I will pass it off to someone else next year.
