Well the clouds blew away mid morning Saturday after 3" of rainfall the previous Thur. and Fri. night. Nice sunny day with some pretty good wind. No cancels and no crashes. Great racing by some of the nations top racers. Sorry no results but plenty of pictures. I will post what I remember from some of the classes.

Dave Mason ran his newly finished Mason Hydro and won both heats. Lyle was in attendence to help all of those needing his years of knowledge. Way to go Dave!

"J's" galore
This class looked like it was having a early nationals at Constantine. Sooooo many boats they had to race 2 elimination heats a concalation heat and a finals heat.
Way to go parents for getting the kids involved. This is the future of our sport!!!Last edited by Tomtall; 06-20-2009, 06:45 PM.Tom L.

Want some mud?
With three inch's of rainfall the prior two days things were a little soupy in places. No one seemed to mind and all had smiles on their faces.Attached FilesTom L.

Tim Sidor
Tim (middle of pic) is what you call FAST! I have had my eye on Tim this year and he has both his "C" hydro an "B" hydro dialed in. This is the guy to watch at the nationals this year. Of course 35+ years of racing also helps a little bit. Tims dad just celibrated his 81st birthday this week. WOW.Attached FilesLast edited by Tomtall; 06-20-2009, 06:47 PM.Tom L.

Jerry O
A BIG thanks to Jerry Oberlin who made it a two week family vacation coming up from GA.. Jerry and his family went to two MHRA races over the last two weekends. Jerry also loaned one of his hydroplanes and a prop for the "Never Ever Racer" program so we could put two new drivers on the course for AXSH this weekend. Thanks Jerry for all your help and support of the sport.Last edited by Tomtall; 06-20-2009, 06:40 PM.Tom L.
