Rock The Docks/TRORA bike night promotion

The Springfield Lakemore Festival Committee hosted a fund raiser to help support this year's Rock the Docks Regatta. TRORA Club member, Jesse Ward honored their request for our club to set up a couple rigs to help promote spectator attendance and explain the sport of outboard racing to the bike night patrons. This event was put together by Troy Bradfield, Lori Strittmatter, Deb and Dan Yost, and Ed and Penny Brown from the RTD committee and the management of Legends Bar and Grill in Green, Ohio. In addition to these volunteers, the event was attended by Dean Young, Chad Prior, and Vince Mealy. This core group of citizens from Lakemore and Springfield Lake Township, Ohio are working hard to build the Rock The Docks Festival into a fun filled family event. A big thank you goes out to them for their dedication and hard work.

On hand, to support this event, were TRORA club members Jack Brewster, Jon Brewster, Ron Saxvik, Bob Saxvik, Rick Wagner Jr., Jesse and Tara Ward and myself.

This year's Rock The Docks Festival is already showing signs of being a worthy yearly event. The north and south shores of Springfield Lake will be the backdrop for a large number of activities, including The Regatta. Please check out their website www.rockthedocks.net
Some of the scheduled events are: live music, amusement rides, air guitar contest, raffles and fireworks from the north shore on Saturday night.

The will be testing at your own risk on Friday from 12:00-4:00. TRORA will have our rescue boat and towboats on the water for any assistance.

Nate Forshey has designed a logo for t-shirts. And at this time Jesse Ward is setting up the printing of these shirts. The design is awesome. Thanks to Nate and Jesse for stepping up to this task.

We hope to see you on Springfield Lake. Come race with us.

    Sincerely, Rick Wagner sr.

How about some BMH entries? I need to try out my boat modifications before Zanesville.

        TJ,
I'll run my 400MH in 'your' class to help make the boat count....BUT, you have to add 25 pounds to your boat ! Otherwise, it stays on the trailer. Mike Raceboat61-S

          Mike,
I'm already running at 459 pounds....do you want to match that?
