  • Sidewinder Probationary Status

    Question To The APBA SORC,

What is the status for each of the Sidewinder motors and their respective classes in regards to probationary period and when they will be a completely legal motor ? I.E. A Stock motor, 15 cu.in. "B" motor, and 20 cu.in. motor.

Also, will the Sidewinder A Stock motor be a legal K Pro motor ?

    Thank You,

    sigpic

The 15 c.i. current "B" motor is legal as of last Nov. 1, 2008. The "A" motor and the 20 c.i. "20SSH & 25SSR" are both probationary for this season. The SORC will monitor the performance of these two motors throughout the season and consider making one or both legal for competition beginning Nov. 1, 2009. That decision will be made before the end of this season on Oct. 31.

Stock Outboard is all about a level playing field.

True parity is one motor per class.

It's RACING, not just another boat ride!

As far as K-pro or mod, you would probably want to speak to your Pro or Mod commissioners.
