Just read the the St Louis Champ Boat race has been canceled after 37 years. The article in the Post Dispatch sports page says it was canceled due to all of the longtime sponsors backing out, and no new ones to take their place. What a shame, I guess this was just another victim of the economy.

Its rough and I see no light at the end of the tunnel. One of the main reasons for my selling this web site is that I can no longer afford to maintain it so it’s got to go. Times have changed drastically so drastic times call for drastic measures.

Also if you think about it its probably better to cancel the race then to have a poor showing of just six or seven boats.
