The APBA sanciton is now online:
    http://www.apba-racing.com/apps/race...2182&hideNav=1

    May 29-30-31!!!

    CBF and APBA sanctioned

    J-Stock-Modified-OSY400

Friday, use of the water is at your risk... not part of the event.

Been told even though the race is early this year, all facilities are open for us. Only thing in question is the food stand, and they are working on that, let you know when I know.

Saturday night a band has been hired, same one as last year! It was an awesome party!

Pushboats races for kids and kids at heart will be Sat after regular races with trophies provided by the VanValkenburgs... please let me know if you want to participate, or can make a pushboat or two for kids to use/have. (the sanction says age 18 is the break point... actually it's 15.)

The new 2010 CBF/UIM classes T750 and T850 will be on hand for display on Friday and Saturday.

    Tom Heighington Memorial Award:
A new perpetual award will be handed out at the race with keeper award! The Tom Heighington Memorial Award will be awarded to the highest scoring Rookie on Saturday. (Rookie in Canada is defined as 10 or fewer days of racing, please let us know if you fall in this group)

Entry Fee... the sanction lists Canadian $$. The current exchange rate (May 6th) would make the US$ entry fee about (we will accept US$):
    $42 First class
    $29 Second class
    $21 Third class
    $17 J Classes

With racers coming from as far as Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Hampshire, Ohio and often Indiana, some over 17 hours! You know this must be a fun time and nice spot!!!

    Hope to see you there!

              Hi Andrew,
It looks like there will be enough C Stock Runabouts. That will most likely be the only class I'm going to run. If there is a need for an additional 500 Mod Runabout to fill in the class, I'll step up and run my stock motor. I don't have a C mod motor.
I haven't looked at my 55-H yet, so I don't know on Classic D Hydro either. I'm running behind schedule on getting my stuff ready.
I'm also sending a word out to any TRORA members who might like to go with me. I'm going to have room on the trailer for 1 boat and 2 motors.

              Rick Sr.

                  Any 750CCMR

Is there any 750CCMR (DMR) planning on going ?

I assume there will be enough 750CCMH (DMH) going.

I haven't heard from any DMR's, but that's not saying much.

I heard from John Greer this morning... he's bringing a DMH also. I assume Dave Scott will, and usually the Robbs and gang are there, with you and maybe our other semi regular Dave Dalton it could be a good turnout. I'll know better after this weekend's Swap Meet and BBQ race season kick off party.

                      Thanks

Ask around at your meeting if anyone is bringing big runabouts.

Hey Dave, I didn't see your post in time, but in talking to people I didn't hear of any runabouts over C's coming. It was all Canadians in attendance though. I was told that Jimmy Robb and gang are coming with mods. I've also added a bunch of other names that told me they are coming.

Just a reminder... last chance to come to Canada without requiring a passport. June 1 the new laws take effect.

                            full details: http://travel.state.gov/travel/cbpmc/cbpmc_2223.html

On June 1, 2009, the U.S. government will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of WHTI. The proposed rules require most U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have a passport, passport card, or other travel do***ent approved by the Department of Homeland Security.

Please note... On the sanction it states Hwy 24 south... there are two different exits from Hwy 403... 24 north and 24 south... you want SOUTH, also know as Rest Acres Road on some maps/signs.

Heard there might be another CSR trailer coming.

Long range weather is looking good!
