Also thanks again for helping with the C runabout situation, I know Glenn will have the Evil Streak rolling soon, and Sean is hooked to, just need to get rid of some of those training wheel boats so he has room to haul one
I'm working on said "Evil Streak" now. Happy Birthday Daren ! How old are you ...?Hope you had a good one !After leaving Mossyrock I blasted up the I-5 to finally arrive at the border around midnight and after a brief chat with the border guy I drove the last hour to the BC Ferry terminal and waited for the 7:00 am sailing to Victoria. Finally able to stagger out of the truck and have a smoke I thought I'd do a walk around and my attention was soon drawn to the impressive pattern of sprayed grease from both trailer wheels......hmmm. It appears as I was cruising the highway's and byway's at 75-80 I was also laying a carpet of roller bearings in my wake !Both hubs had only the races left !Made it home and rebuilt both hubs.Thank's again Tony, I'll have the runabout ready soon.Just built a rack for my truck to carry the hydro on top so I will have more room.See you all at Kitsap....
Glad you made it OK Glen, that's really scary stuff. I think I've seen more weekends ruined by trailers than race boats. Just a thought on the Evil Streak, I have always thought the primary issue with the steering on that boat was that the steering tie back points are too far towards the rear of the boat, kind of screwing up the steering geometry. I have just never figured out a good solution. You probably already noticed the steering bable needs to be replaced. See you at Kitsap.
