2nd season test session and future racer

This last weekend we went testing for the season. We ran all of our boats and tried two new motors. We also showed off our future racer. He only has to wait 8 more years and one and a half months.

The boats we used last year worked great so we experimented with 6 new props. We found a couple new ones that we really like. The new boat has us baffled so we will work with it more at the second race where the water will be about 20 degrees warmer. It was disapointing but with time we will get the right set up I hope.

We spent three days and had a great time with some of our friends who brought there chase boat. Will post some more pictures in a few minutes. This site is great and we keep trying to get the owners (power company)to allow a race before the mill foil and crowds move in after Memorial Day. The local paper editor and owner was there and he is going see what he can do

Carl, we tested at a place called Finley Flats right on the Clark Fork River. It is a beautifull place with shear cliffs on the one side that have a blue tint up them and deep forest on the other side of the river. It is only 10 miles from our house.

Would like to add that the future racer was not drinking the beverage that was sitting on the boat deck.

Thanks Dave. We got shot down for a race later in the year since it is so popular with the locals but we are trying a earlier slot. There was only one other camper with us the whole three days.

Dave, the elevation is about 2,400 feet and the area we were at is dam controled. In fact the second of three days we were there they lowered the level of the water about 14 inches but we were not in the main channel so there was no current.
