    Warbs and Coop,

You left another wonder out of the lie up, Orihula. My first race there in ASR I went into the 1 pin, first turn and really cranked it hard and came off plane.

Winneconne was a blast. Our family had a cottage on the lake for years and later a hunting camp on one of the channels off the river which was down near the first turn. I can still remember the bridge crammed with people. We would eat breakfast with Mr. B at the Arrowhhead, lunch at the Fin & Feather and many suppers at Holtz's.

My first race in ASR at Winneconne, the water was so rough, the tank mounts broke off of my kg-4. The tank smacked into the flywheel and spun the keyway off the crank and wrecked it.

Yes, I do remember Beckerini's wipe out at Waukesha. I think it was 25ssh in a Hedlulnd style boat. I thought he was really hurt but he was ok.

All you racers are telling the truth about your racing. But just think next sat night, you will have to think up a new bunch of lies. LOL.

I DOubt They Are Lying !

Most of the vetrans cut their teeth on river courses like that. It was like that is just about each region. Ohio, MI, Indiana, etc... I have raced on more rivers than lakes in my years. Believe me, there are very little embelishments on our river racing stories. Even the Pro division raced more rivers than lakes back in the day. If everyone started out like that I bet we would all benefit with the driving skills you learn from that. If you don't know your boat on the tight rivers, you are as good as wet. And we used to not sissy out and only run 5 or 6 boats out there either, full fields most of the time !
