  • Spring Lawrence - Run for the Records!

Although the balmy 80 degree weather of Louisiana doesn't look to be showing up, the 45 degrees and rain sure looks to be a part of the Record Run this year!

    I've got:
    • legal helmet - orange
    • legal life jacket and Kevlar - with impact material
    • studied the overlap rule for each category - n/a in most situations...
    • 55 gallons of legal fuel at $18 a gallon, not including oil
    • legal numbers - whit on black 8" tall with a proper background
    • rebuilt Yamato to new head specs
    • rebuilt Merc
    • rebuilt Evinrude with legal rings
    • new OSY ride with a flat bottom
    • new raincoat - the yellow plastic kind
    • 4 easy-ups
    • three rolls of gorilla tape
    • spark plugs
    • shear pins
    • boat plugs
    • adult beverages

So kids, let's kick the tires and light the fires! Who's coming with me??

    You're goin' nowhere without props
Unless you got some serious pitch on those shear pins.

          • new props for ASH, OSY, DSH, DMH and 45...and maybe even 120!

Had to be reminded as Pops builds them up for me. I've found the best way for a father/son team to co-exist is with the son paying the father in C notes as compensation for the propeller work; lots and lots of them...

As my Econ professor always said, "That depends...."

I do, however, have numbers for you! And some great, little APBA vinyl stickers. Oooo, and "I'm on a Boat" stickers too!

I also plan to have my helmet cam working this weekend, possibly with a head-up display of speed and rpm. We'll see how that goes.

As for shear pins, not much change in technology on that front, but I've got something up my sleeve in respect to prop nuts!

Props? Who needs props? Just give John a sail and a couple of oars, he will still be fast.

                      Gleason Racing

DSH, CSH, CSR and National Mod?! Gonna be a good time.

BTW the turn judges will be a mix depending on who volunteers. Usually at inboard races they are out there most of the day, so be grateful!

John, you forgot your flippy floppies!

Why not come down and Turn Judge, then? Oh, that's right: easier to fire shots from the keyboard instead of actually showing up and getting involved.

You all be safe and have fun and kick some a**.

I woke up at 4 this morning, left the house at 5, and blew the egr cooler out of my Powerstroke in Elllensburg about 8 this morning. $775 dollars later to tow my truck and camper, I was back home at 3:30 this afternoon.

Someone call me, or text me updates..........Thanks
