  • New racer, new trailer.

New Racers, Doug and Ryan Wellings, just recieved a new trailer for the 2009 season. The trailer was built by Jeff Ruth, and looks very cool. It was a very reasonably priced trailer for an enclosed. I thought it was pretty cool, I may need one now.

Doug also just purchased a 15c.i. Sidewinder.

New racers, new blood, new equipment.

Very nice I love the low profile style which save $$$ less wind resistance.

Sweet, are they going to Constintine this year? I may have to make the trip and add to the Sidewinder count at that race!

            Nice Trailer

That is a very nice trailer, aprox how much out the door was it, like the low profile, front and rear entry is nice also.

              That is one sweet trailer.

Do I see a height adjustment for the top rack?

Is there enough roof support for an exterior rack on top?

              How much?

Nice looking trailer! Is the exterior allum or steel siding?

                  Race Trailer

That trailer is just like the one that was was given away at the NBRA national meeting las Nov. It is very nice and lightweight and does have enough strength to put a rack on the top. The company that makes them is called Eagle Body in Arkansas and Jeff Ruth who is the NBRA president works for them.

Gene, of course they will be at Constantine and also Augusta. If you come, and Dudley usually does, that would be three Sidewinders in the field.

The trailer already has a rack mounted on the top. It came fully completed, just add boats and motors.

The trailer is all steel, but weight is only 1200lbs. You can move it around yourself pretty easy. Although I wish it had a wheel on the front, not a stand.

I will let Jeff Ruth comment on the cost. I believe it was about $3,800 but am not sure. Doug upgraded to Chrome wheels, spare tire, and elec. brakes.

Very nice! clean and simple, I really like it. If that is the price it is very reasonable.

I can build this trailer for a base price of $3650 all steel construction, Doug upgraded with chrome wheels and added a spare hence the $3800, the inside height is 51" just enough for 2 hydros, inside width is 72" the upper bunk inside piviots down in the front to be able to load the top boat by yourself, Dougs trailer is 14' with bunks on the roof, overall I believe that it is 67" tall, all carpeted inside, motor racks are 30" from rear on both sides with a removable floor in between, My own trailer is 16" with 60" inside height I have hauled as many as 4 boats and 6 engines in mine for the last 6 years, Eagle body has been in bussiness since 1967 and I have been with them since 1989, If you would Like more info you can contact me @ 1-800-432-6834 or 479-927-2847, Doug I am very Glad that you are Happy with your new trailer and you should get very many years use out of it, THANK YOU for the great pics and the infor , and welcome aboard boat racing

I was so impressed at the awesome trailer that I missed the most important part.

A huge welcome to the Wellings family and their recent purchases of a 15ci Sidewinder and trailer. Now, what did y'all ( I can say that I live in the south) pick up for boat(s)?

Again, welcome to Stock Outboard racing.

                          See y'all at the races.

An addendum to Jeff's comments about Eagle Body trailers...that Jeff is too modest to mention... these guys build trailers that "just don't have to come back for repairs."

Good products, good people... tough, American-made stuff... and Jeff knows what a boat racer wants in a piece of hauling equipment.

Ryan will be racing J Hydro for his second season. I will be attempting B Hydro in Mark Miskerik's old boat. Thank all of you for the warm welcome. The support we received from the people we met last year played a big part in continuing on
