  • APBA has hired Sharon Weiner to be the National Promotions Chair

Can anyone expand on this? Exactly does this job entail?

Hmmmm, was kinda waiting for someone to respond.

I will take a guess though based on my experience in the structure of APBA I would bet this job is to promote the branding of APBA.

Would like to hear if the job description specifically requires promotion/marketing at the Division level. If so, how it ties in to the "promotion fund".

The branding of APBA is important because that will have an effect on every Category/Division/Class in all of APBA.

Sounds like a step in the right direction to me.

Don't quote me on this but I believe one of the organizational goals is to move APBA from acting solely as an administrative body. APBA will function as an administrative and promotional body. This is not limited to the APBA brand and will spill over to each of APBA's sanctioned categories.

I believe this is part of Mr. Weber's vision for APBA.

        Hired?

I believe the compensation package was $0.00 and she has volunteered to coordinate the promotions for APBA

Thank you, Mark for the info.

Its a little dissapointing to find out its a volunteer position.

I was very hopeful at this news that this was a significant step in the right direction for APBA. But I will gladly take a very small step and hope that it grows into something bigger and better.

So, grats to APBA for moving in the right direction.
