well it sounds like two years ago we went through this same thing with
mod / stock and pro. we were on the road for a hole month.

this year it is mods middle of july then stocks then pros.

at the nats meeting last year a lot of time went in to the dates so racers like my self and are team could make all 3 nats, we do bring alot of boats and entries to all 3 nats, we all chip in and get every one there we can, as it looks my trailer well be there, but not me as i am broke and mama said nomore racing for me. i guess i will just sit on the beach with ottis.

I seem to recall that one of the SORC decisions at the 2008 National Meeting was to appoint a committee to look into a permanent site for Stock Nationals. Among other benefits, from a permanent home would follow a permanent date - thus avoiding this problem and perhaps making it easier to schedule those pesky local races around the Nationals "break". Did that committee make a recommendation?

if we get the powers to be some info about who has conflicts, it may assist them in putting the schedules together ..... elims and finals

We were going to try and make both this year, but if there is a conflict then MI will win out 4 classes vs 1.......

                    John Peeters, Reg. 10
Stock: ASH, ASR, 20ssH, CSH, DSH, 45ss (if ran)
Pro: OSY 400 (last year's national champion)

I was asked today which nationals I would attend if they ended up being at the same time; I said neither - I'm going to the OPC nationals.....

I'm not changing my two-motor-home-with-two-full-trailers-going-east-plan just yet, a possibility of 20+ entries, I have faith this will all work out.

Mike, That proposal was made and some opportunities have been mentioned but we are still a couple years away from that becoming a possibility. It's going to take a lot of planning, work and salesmanship to get it done.
