  • Winter Storage, Perfect Fit!

Was trying to find ways to save space in the tent/garage thing and I had a bright idea. I grabbed a tape measure and sure enough, my CSH fits in the back of my '85 VW Vanagon by about 1/2 inch front to back and about 1 inch on both sides...

    Hmmm

Your giving me ideas. I have a C hydro and a 68 bus filling my garage right now.

      Nice fit

Nice boat and I'm glad you found a great space saving place for it.
...But I think admitting to owning a vanagan was a mistake.

I picked it up AT a race last year! not from a fellow racer, but it was only about 40 minutes away so I went and picked it up.

Actually my biggest motivation for getting a vanagon was for racing. a motorhome is extremely impractical for me and would be way to expensive anyway. But the back seat folds down to a queen size bed which is more then enough for my dad and I and beat setting up sleeping in and tearing down a tent every weekend 100 fold

The 85hp 1.9L POS waterboxer engine is going to be replaced by a 135hp 2.2L Subaru.
Also Vanagons are rated to 2000 pounds.
