A wonderful evening was spent by all last night thanks to the work of Jon and Melanie Brewster.
Many old timers came out of the wood work and made the evening even better. I tried to take some photos even though it was a little tough due to the lighting.

Commodore Joe Silvestri announced the following special award winners:

-Dante Silvestri - lifetime dedication Paul Lloyd award
-Jeff Brewster - driver of the year
-Rick Wagner Sr. - sportsman of the year
-Mitchell Dotson - rookie of the year
-Christine Brewster - woman of the year

Also, all referees, inspectors and judges stand workers were honored. Too many to name and I don't want to leave anyone out. If ya have the list please post it.

p.s. the banana bread beer was pretty darn good too!

Thanks to all those who came to our banquet last night both current and past members. It was great seeing everyone and having a chance to talk about the old days and to talk about 2008 and into the future. A special thanks to Dana Holt for getting the awards this year, Jerry and Alexie Brewster for putting the award's slide show together, Christine Brewster for putting the race recap slide show together and to Jon and Melanie Brewster for hosting the banquet. Mark,
I have to defend Dana on this one! The bartender must have had alot of lime and lemon to get rid of. I got one stuffed into my beer every time I went up there. Yuck! Ya, can't put flippin' fruit in my Landshark Lager!
I kept giving them to my daughters just to watch them pucker!
