We have races sanctioned thru NBRA in your area. As a matter of fact there are some other new racers in Texas. There was just a threat titled something about racer looking for races in Texas. Please call the NBRA president Jeff Ruth about races in our area. 479-927-2847 or 800 432-6834

I recently moved to Texas from the East coast. Been racing for the last 10 plus years, and would be glad to help you in any way you need.
Send me a pm with your contact info and lets talk.

I have been motocrossing and drag racing for years and would very much like to get into boat racing if I can find just one person that is a race in my book.

How big (or small) are you? It makes a diff. for what is a good class to start in

thats kinda handy you will not be to heavy for any class. So you might want to do your choosing based on making sure you do not buy into a class that doesn't have the boat counts needed to run. (I understand you feelings of 1 to run against is enough if thats all there are.) NBRA guys are good about combining classes to have a decent field.

APBA requires (in stock) 4 boats for any points (they dont run if there are no points)
i think in mod its 3 boats (if i am wrong someone will correct me i am sure )
but what ever you do get in touch with some of the people in that area.( like pm the people on the list in the other thread) More than likely you can arrange some rides in some rigs to decide what class you are comfortable starting out in (I understand you are used to going fast but riding a flying piece of plywood is a bit differant than my XR500 wfo LOL) GOOD LUCK! and WELCOME to the boat racin family.
