Search for FogCity visor inserts at your local bike shop... (if you can't find, email my father) they have a special model for the Bandit... I try never to race without one installed any more (they made models for all helmets)... should be in the rules for boat racing! haha. inexpensive safety equipment.
I can race with my visor closed tight, get hosed down and not fog up. Highly recommended.
When I was at VIP getting my vanagon inspected I saw rain-x antifog it was like $3 a bottle so I got one. thought it would be great for racing, but after looking at those shield inserts, in 100% getting one of those. I have to get a new shield anyway after braking mine when I flipped.

I drill 1/8 inch holes at the bottom of the shield in front of the nose. You might want to try it on a crappy shield first to see if it works on the Simpson.
I have a Bell.

Go FogCity, can't be beat. I put one on years ago and let my brother and dad try it, they borrowed my lid for ages until they finally decided to install their own...
I ride with them on the motorcycle too, great for early and let season riding...
My helmet, and I assume most helmets, have a lever under the left lower edge. Press lever, visor cracked a tad, fog be gone. Of course there are folks more than willing to take your money for a Magic Cure like Rain-X when the cure is simple -> crack the visor. Sure cure - an 1/8" thick piece of single-side sticky tape centered under the lower edge. That will keep the vent visor cracked when you get the ol' rooster tail smack down.

might work when your out front but on several occasions I got hosed down and first it spayed water in my eyes, then slammed the visor shut instant fog. had to think more about how I breathed then on the race... if I could close the visor and have no fog, it would be amazing. besides, how much do you spend on race equipemtn/safety equipment? what another $20 on something that just makes everything easy? I mean you'll spend more then that on gas alone at a single race.
**EDIT: guess I should read the whole post before responding, "an 1/8" thick piece of single-side sticky tape centered under the lower edge. That will keep the vent visor cracked when you get the ol' rooster tail smack down." I did that, but still get water sprayed in the helmet on my glasses, but im getting contacts so that wont be a problem I guess.
I have a Simpson Bandit and a Voyager, plus wear glasses. I use rain-x (glasses too)every time I wear them and this seems to work for old Tubby. Heres one, I turned on the vent fan that I rarely use in the OPC and found a mouse had built a nest in the hose, it smelled so bad I had to run without the lid. Guess you can say I ran "crappy" that day. Tally-ho from Tubby
i bought a small spray bottle of antifogg gaurd from Scott at a local cycle shop. worked pretty well. i think i paid 5 bucks for it and still have 3/4 of it left.
