I am with you on that. I am a huge fan of wood grain especially when it looks as beautiful as that. I too would say DONT paint it, it is absolutely incredible.
Welcome to hydroracer, we hope you enjoy your visit.
here are a couple of shots of my 125 hydro that i helped tom build last oct for the worlds. bill giles and i ran it but unfortunately we burned a piston and that finished our weekend. i forgot how much work there is involved in building these hydros. last boat i built was a champion du kit boat i built in 1954. must be why i only built one. was put together with gazillions of brass screws and that was before staple guns and electric screwdrivers. these shots were after i painted it last month. thanks tom for the nice woodwork.

Lyndsay is only eight, but next April she hits the magic number of nine.We started her boat a week ago and just turned it over from up-side-down to right-side up today. It will be ready for Constantine and the Pro Nationals and since she is too young, we'll find a driver. Next year she'll be ready to run all by herself in J. And of course we are looking for small Kevlar stuff now.
