Wy wife and i were sitting in front of the tube almost time to hit the hay, and a piece on M?ission Bay came on. Apparently, raw sewage was dumped in the bay and no one is allowed in the water...Which, kind of puts the stop to stock classes....See article in SD Union tribune I copied for you all to read....We are heading down today, but the boat is sitting in the trailer until we get an all clear.

Because the idea is to stay inside the boat, the Bayfair powerboat races featuring the Unlimited Hydroplanes will run as scheduled on Mission Bay this weekend with several adjustments.

Regatta officials are warning spectators to stay out of the water along the viewing beaches. They also are circulating warnings from the San Diego County Department of Environmental Health about the beach closures.
Bayfair officials are also hopeful that the beach closures will be lifted by Sunday.
With the high tides and sunlight we've had the past two days, we're hoping the bacterial levels will drop over the next two days, regatta chairman Bob Davies said yesterday.
But this problem, which has nothing to do with us, won't affect the racing. We have taken steps to address issues that might face any of our workers, racers and safety personnel who come into contact with the water.
As of yesterday afternoon, the bacterial levels were still above acceptable limits along the Fiesta Island, East Vacation Isle and Crown Point Shores viewing areas.
Historically, crowds grow daily, with the largest turnout as many as 75,000 attending Sunday's championship heats. The three-day regatta draws about 100,000 total spectators.
The event starts today with the Unlimiteds first taking to the 2½-mile Bill Muncey Memorial Course shortly after 9 a.m.
Although the Unlimiteds will have three sessions today, the highlight of the first day could be the offshore powerboats, which are making their official debut this season as part of the Bayfair tripleheader. The offshore boats will be making timed speed runs over a kilometer course between Fiesta Island and East Vacation Isle beginning at about 12:30 p.m.
