The boat was calling for it previous owner to drive...it said the current driver was abusing it.... so we put him back in it to make the boat happy. Bill had so much fun he said, he might have to ask Mike if he can drive his second rig at the nationals next year.

Donny is already hinting that he wants to drive that boat again...someone had better pay off the owner.

                      Thanks!

Thanks Sarah for posting the results and for all your hardwork at registration and on the judge's stand. Thanks to all who came, we had great weather and a good crowd again and some great racing too. DMR on Sunday was one of the best races I have ever seen at Oshkosh with Joe Franck and Rod Terzinski going at it literally side by side for all 3 laps. Thanks also to Fred and Linda for opening up their home for us on Saturday. Set up and tear down was a breeze and thanks of course to Joe, Davey, Jon, and the other rakers for their hard work Saturday morning. Next year the truck needs to be there on Friday

                      Bill

PS - thanks Donny for NOT racing in a runabout

                        Hate, Love or Both?

Oshkosh is one of the most unusual race courses anywhere. People who never touch buoys or jump the gun can do that and more on that course. You can look like a world beater one heat and be sucking wake the next. I have experienced it all there and I'm ready to go back for more. Thanks to all who labored to make this crazy place go.

                          Bill III

For those who have only seen Bill Pavlick III race a runabout he is a past national champ in both 20SSH and 15SSH

I guess you're right! I only recall him giving up the training wheels when we were kids back in the '80s and never going back. It's so strange to think of BPIII in a hydro, but I was there to see it! (Remember him in ASH running your Hedlund and driving to races at the crack of dawn in the blue '76 T-Bird? MAN, those were fun days!) Thanks for clearing the cobwebs and the trip down memory lane there, Big Al!

The course there is the great equalizer. I have often heard of drivers talking about a "driver's course" - this is it!!!!
