I heard Lake Lawrance is a great place to race. Can anybody give me the low-down on this years race?

Great place to race. Testing on Friday Sept. 26th and racing on the 27th & 28th. Preliminary courses are 1 2/3 and 1 1/4. Water is usually really good. We are doing it a bit later in the month this year but fall in the NW is soooooo nice.
Pits are perfect with easy launching. This is a Community Club and kept up very nice. Camping there is good in the large grass fields. The CClub is doing a spaghetti dinner (low cost) on Friday night and has breakfast avail. on Sat/Sun. There will also be a food wagon avail. onsite.
Town of Yelm is 5 mi. away. Lodging is very limited. Come join us, we have fun.
What classes?

Bill,
I was thinking about ASH and ASR. Are there very many out that way?
You say prliminary courses are 1-2/3 and 1-1/4, does that mean they run both?"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state,

Great place to race! Everyone's filled you in it sounds like, but it's good times. Records fall every year pretty much...ASH mile and 1/4 was set on lake Lawerence...in 2002 if i recall. Talk to Sean MaKean in your area (looks like your from texas) He came out 8 years ago or so and set some records.Kyle Bahl

Kilos
Yeah, there's some low-hanging fruit for kilo records. Featured this year are a couple of electric boats. Ya know, if you want a region record, there are a lot of those easily reachable - 20ssh at under 63mph?
If that horse has some giddyup, you might want to saddle up and head for another legendary northwest race at Lake Lytle in Rockaway Beach this weekend. Gonna be a tight fit in the pits though - lookin' at 80 entries right now. That's enough to let that Bahl kid off the hook so he can get fitted for his inboard ride with a clear conscience; isn't that cow college playing this weekend too?Mike Johnson
