The Brighton MI race will not happan this year. There was a change in the management at the park and he is not open to having a race there this year but maybe next year.

While I don't like to see any race cancelled those that are looking to race that weekend can come over to Pleasant Prairie Wisconsin.
*It's just over the Wisconsin border...only 298 miles from Ann Arbor.
*Great Park
*Outlet mall is close for those that want to shop
*You get to race on the tri-oval
*Go Karts a few miles away
"Ask anyone, I have no friends. I do have some people that put up with me and mostly because they like the rest of my family"
Don't want to take anything away from Wisconsin, but Franklin, PA will be hosting their fall race the following weekend and according to MapQuest it's only 259 miles from Ann Arbor. Running all stock, all mod, all j with possibility of 3 days of racing over the 2 days if time permits. So come on over and get those last days of racing in.
While it is in competition with Pleasant Prarie, sadly, as both are great venues, Shelbyville usually has a lot of Mod outboards including the 750CCMH and the 25 Mod Hydros. They also usually have AMH as well. Sorry, to many numbers to type, easier to just to type the old class name.
They also have a great place for the DSH to race. They race against the Tohotsu and the old 40CI mods. There are PLENTY of those to race. Would love to see a top notch Mercury DSH compete in this class. Never seen it done except in the old AOF days one year when Hemp tried it. Things came along ways since then. Speeds are up in both classes, and top notch equipment awaits to race.
I know the field of 750CCMH will be big. It always is there. It is alo the NBRA's Short Course Championship. That billing is sure to bring the best out of the woodwork. I can vouch for the race course, top notch, beach for pits and lots of it. Nice camping in the pits too, with facitlites for bathrooms and showers. A unique place to race. You will see million dollar yachts anchored around the corner watching and cheering you on while milling. Wave at them, they can sometimes ummm, make you late for the start cause you are watching for the traditional wave back...
Hope to see some of you come over, you won't be dissapointed. With lots of tow money and lots of prize money it sure helps offset the fuel cost considerably. I hear Eagle Creek Resort is a fantastic place to stay while there. The parties they throw for drivers and crew are as good as any. Personally I try to get Rotten Ralph to attend those parties so I might gain an advantage in the next days heats. So far that startegy has not worked... darn it.
Both days I beleive. I know for fact that we are going to accomodate all Michigan racers classes on Sunday, so as to get those of you thru chicago before Sunday evenings rush hour. (mark my words on that) Im going to try and post a sched in advance of the race for everyone. Is that why you were asking?
Ive whined forever about trying to get you Michigan boyz here to check out this racecourse... I see an opportunity here and hope you'll ALL come. When I found this his place 4-5 years ago, I knew it had a great potential to become a National/Divisional racesite !
