  • Olympic rowing course

Hey, if anyone is watching the olympic rowing, I'd just like to say the course we used at all the World Championships in Nottingham were on the same sized lake.

Nothing quite like doing a jetty start with 20 OSY's aiming toward a single bouy 600 meters down. Gary had to run with 20 plus 350's and they ran to the 1000 meter mark. Hay bales were placed onshore at the base of the light poles at the exit of each turn.

Come to think of it, rowing would be more exciting if they had to negotiate a turn

    Rowing Course - Lke Lanier

We looked at the facility built for the Olympics in 1996 (Atlanta). It would work, but not enought water and lot's of ploitics.
