Hey, if anyone is watching the olympic rowing, I'd just like to say the course we used at all the World Championships in Nottingham were on the same sized lake.
Nothing quite like doing a jetty start with 20 OSY's aiming toward a single bouy 600 meters down. Gary had to run with 20 plus 350's and they ran to the 1000 meter mark. Hay bales were placed onshore at the base of the light poles at the exit of each turn.
Come to think of it, rowing would be more exciting if they had to negotiate a turn
