    job well done

    MRC Crew,

First off, I don't know how Sarah does it but she get result posted quicker than Mike Pavlick's 20SSH. Great job this weekend as well Sarah!

I know first hand the amount of work it takes to get a new race site and MRC has done a great job with this one. I have to say it is the most unique site I've raced at in my 25+ years (and that's not a bad thing).

Nice lake and course with plenty of room, nice park, restuarant/food vendors on site, great faclities for registration/drivers meeting, the association opened up their doors (and pool) for us and most of all a community that really seemed to be excited about the event.

    Glad we attended!

    Mark

        Congrats MRC/BSOA

Congratulations to the two Region 7 Stock/Mod clubs for a great race. Congratulations to all of those who put so much effort into this event. The activities were very well-coordinated and, as Chicago Paul aptly put it: "this is the way an outboard race ought to be".

I also want to congratulate Bruce Hansen on his win in ASH and ride in BSH (noted under AMH standings as there were only 3 entries). Bruce has been away from the sport for over twenty years but is making a long-distance comeback. Bruce lives in Hawaii and makes a 10 hour flight back to race in Region 7 on the weekends. He will be in Whitney Point and you ASH drivers better look out. Bruce knows how to win, too. He was the JSH national champ in 1978. Congrats to Andy, too, in getting him back into a race boat. Eddie.

The people of Candlewick Lake really went all out for this event. Lots of spectators, great race course and friendly people. I would encourage everyone to come to this race next year. Free Buffet style breakfast for the drivers and family saturday and sunday. Live music saturday night, with a bar/restaurant right next to the pit area. Tow money and prize money. The MRC/BSOA race clubs put on a great event. Thanks to everyone involved.
