    The "MAN"

Stover won a few NOA Championships with that toilet bowl, too!! The greatest race I have ever seen was between Stover and Paul Kalb at the NOA Championships in Creve Coer, MO around '61 or '62.

    GO STOVER!!!!

I remember guntersville alabama in 1961 and 1962 long way back. 1961 was the year a bunch of people got sick from food poisoning from vender truck that came through the pits bad pork. Some went to the hospital Dad and I toughed it out in a motel room lost 15 pounds in two days couldnt even keep water down.

                    Guntersville 1961

George - you mentioning 1961 Guntersville Nationals brought back a story as follows. ASH Finals 1st - Don Christy, 2nd your father George Sr. and 3rd yours truly Don Graham . What a race. One could cover the first three boats with a bed sheet thats how competitive. Eliminations had 33 entries with two open spots. Oh the good old days.

                    Sincerely,
                    Don Graham

Lots of good storys from back then took the better part of a day just for the AHS elims to get in. I forget how many heats Dad won to just get in the show. 1962 Dad won and Christy was second dont remember who was third that year. Long time since I saw a measured 1 and 2/3 course like that one. Here is a picture of the start of the finals in ASH.
