There were a number of new faces from Michigan who decided Burlington was less costly gas-wise than Franklin PA, so the costs of travel are begining to show. Lots of guys in the water for the first time this year. Lots of old faces for the pig roast. Good to see Chris Fairchild recovering from his champ boat activities and Tracy in the 4M ASH racing for Kevin Ladd's fund. I'm not good with results for all classes but would bet that Thomas Allen won more heats than anyone else. Good DMR race with Hauenstein and Mason.

Undefeated and impressive however he started, in 2 days of racing, using two different motors was Davey Hemp in BSR. And this is racing against some decent BSR guys- Hearn, Jess, maybe a Trolian. No, he wasn't using one of those sideways things. There was one racing but it certainly wouldn't convince me to buy one.

The Mohawk kid was absolutley FLYING in his DMR on Sunday. He will be the one to beat at Witney should his rig make it there and be running the same. Rumor has it (I can confirm the coming home part) that he left Chris's Bar early Saturday night, around 10:00 PM and went to bed early ! Then was at the trailer 4:30 A.M. to get his D engine together. Well, he did something right ! MAN he was fast !

I was one of the Michiganders that did a quick Mapquest and decided that about $150.00 in fuel costs saved would make the Burlington race appealing. For my first time in Burlington it was a very enjoyable race. I had a lot of fun there, nice park, the carnival is cool, and the reception I received was a lot better than I ever thought possible. Thanks for a great time guys. For a last minute decision to go to WI things worked out great. I had one of th ebest races ever in DMR with Fred Haunestein. Nothing like deck to deck for 2.5 laps. I just wish I had not jumped the second heat !! Oh well, still fun and that is the name of the game. I was told we must have brought the nice weather, it could not have been better, in the 80's !! Well back home in MI it is only in the 50's today ! My sunburn is freezing !

Whoever set the course up at Burlington, thanks. For the area to work with you sure set a nice course.

Ryan Burdick (our resident professional aircraft pilot) typically sets up the course there and at other sites. I agree he does a very fine job at it.
We are very happy you and ALL the other Mi. drivers attended. Thanks for coming.

                    Good Michianders

Yea, being that I was one of the big whiners- asking why Michigan racers never come here...
                    I wanna say thanks too!

                    And to Dave and Shawn:
If I knew you were coming I would have thrown you guys the free lodging deal at the Trump B&B too !

I'll "pre-book" you for next year if you like...
                    Just lemme know ! thankz

                      And a special thanks to:

And all the results up on the web the day after !

Thanks for your work here as well.

Probably the most important, and "under-rated" jobs at the racesite.

                        Thanks...

Thanks for moving the schedule around on Monday, that really helped us, we still got home at 2:00am but it could have been worse. We also found a better route around Chicago so we hope to be back next time with more DMH/750's and maybe some FEH/850's... What a great weekend, a beautiful site, a huge crowd, a nice coarse and good people...I could go on and on about the pig roast, the food vendors and everything else so I'll just say thanks again. Kevin/115-M.
