DePue, IL July 12-13 update
We’ll start with the good news first.
Rochelle is still on for June 28-29. Testing starting at 3pm on Friday. Racing for Stock/MOD/J/OSY/Antiques Sat and Sun. Testing Sat evening, Sun am and Sun evening. Don’t need to worry about noise here! Free camping but no hook ups.
Candlewick Lake is still on for July 19-20. Bill Carter has been working hard on sponsorship for Candlewick and to date has come up with an additional $750. Since he is still working on a few more potential sponsors, we will announce prize $ at a later date. $50 in tow money is still available for those driving more than 200 miles one way. Contact Chris Dudek at cdudek29H@hotmail.com prior to July 12 to register. Low entry fees, free camping on site, dinner Saturday evening, however no testing.
Now the bad news. The Stock/Mod/J race in DePue July 12-13 is cancelled due to a schedule conflict. We will be back in DePue next year for the Stock/J Central Divisionals. I would like to thank IOA commodore Jim Robb for his support on this, but we just could not make it happen.
MRC is considering having a test weekend July 12-13 in DePue if there is any interest as we still have the park and water.
