Be very careful. A lot of people try to pass themselves off as Bill Giles. The real Bill Giles is 104 years old , ugly and very decrepit. The racing Bill Giles is only a Myth perpetuated by a few New England male witches. You must burn incense, eat a lot of garlic and sprinkle your boat with holy water or it will be forever possessed by evil spirits.

It was Billy Allen, not Giles... Someone told me he was Giles. Sorry for the confusion

Here are a few action shots, taken right from the footage.

Hey you got great help from either one. They both started racing when still in diapers. In PopPops picture thats Giles on the left in the kevlar. Great pictures, you definitly got into the thick of things on the start in the last pic

yup, probably meet him some day as well. That last one I think everyone jumped the gun except for two people... I knew it too right when I passed the clock I saw there was still about a second on it.

I hope I end up with some great pictures of my first race like yours. The high flying ones I can do with out.

On my video camera I can go frame by frame and take a picture that saves on the memory card, thats what I did here.

My grandfather took some pictures with his camera, so I will try and get those from him, I am sure he got a few good ones.

I plan on it but my FireWire cable went bad and I have to stop by radioshack to get a new one.

And I think the high flying ones are a given unless you are leading the pack... it can get rough in the chop.

Just a warning, it wont be the most exciting footage you have ever seen :P

The first few races when I was asked to follow behind I miss judged how far would be good... Looks like I am testing all by myself.
