  • Franklin, Pa Roll Call

Ok, we're tired of waiting for Apba to get the online sanction going. I just clarified from the printed version of the circular that these are the classes running below.
Apologies to the drivers of FER that wanted to race and the drivers of BSH that were omitted this year. Hopefully your class will be added in the future.

So send in your entries and let's get this thing rolling. With the price of gas we don't want anyone sitting on the bank. Class combinations will and do happen if you do not have enough entries.

If you have never raced at Franklin, you will see why we are so glad to be back! One of the most beautiful places to be!
Don't forget the family fun feed on Saturday night (bring a dish) and we will get to sing happy 92nd birthday to Skipper Smith too!

      Sam,
There's usually plenty of room for motor homes/campers between pavillion and park office behind and to West side of pit fence, . Not sure on electric this year and if concession kitchen will be open?
      Any word from Joel?

Add the following classes: I'll be racing 400MH (25Mod) and 350MR (BMR), too. Mike Marshall Raceboat61-S.
APBA must have the sanction mess fixed. I recieved the printed/approved Sanction Certificate yesterday in the mail. Let me remind everyone that "sanctioned testing" on Friday is only available to drivers after they register and who have also paid the $20 testing fee. Testing begins at 1200 (noon) or when the referee displays a green flag.
Tentative racing schedule: May be trumped by Race Committee, Referee, #'s of entries, or weatherman.

                      Will be there

                      CSH & 500MH

Hopefully everybody will come to Franklin - as Jeff stated, one of the best places to race. 1st turn is always glass, good sized turns, sand beach to pit from, Camping for motor homes (in the past, people had to call the campground to reserve a spot with electric hookups), I believe tenting was available in the upper field.

                        Franklin

                        I'm in for 350MR and 500MR.

Phone number for the park to make your reservation for camping with electric hookup is 814-676-6116. I just talked to them and there will be camping for tents, etc. with a small fee. Also the bath house and showers will be working and there will be a full concession stand going. Office hours are 8-10 AM and 4-5 PM but they should be in office until noon today so call and get your space reserved.

This is a great site and should be a great race! Hope to see everyone there!
