Kelly Hannon and Aaron Peterson traded the AXSH record back and forth ( not enough starters) and on Sunday Aaron was rewarded with enough entries and got the record.
Troy Holmberg's brand new Ron Jones DSH ( never in the water ) was very impressive and was a click or 2 off the record, one to watch in the future.
CSH and 20SSH good racing in both classes but a few MPH back from the record pace.
Feel sorry for the Mr. Bud gang (2.5 ltr mod) from La. as they proceeded to blow over both boats in specular fashion ( one Sat one Sun ) near the outboard pits, great view....
Jeff Bernard was hauling in 5 liter on Sat and had the rudder come off at the entrance pin on the first lap, flat spun the boat and the rest of the field was able to miss him, the rudder was tangled in the prop shaft and made the prop look like the J kids took it for a real long bike ride, glad Jeff came out ok.
all in all great weather and flat water for an early spring race keeping in mind it was snowing the week before.
First time out a congrats is due to the guys Scott Meyers and his gang for winning the 2.5 heat and following it up with a win in the main.I got his email last night with picture after picture.
Tim Lee
Mike Perman managed a 4th and 2nd place finishes in the Miss Buzweiser Sunday, even though he still has to start on the outside. Not bad for a 20 something year old hull that's 200 lbs overweight. 2 more heats and he'll be able to mix it up with the rest of them.
