I am still taken back by the kindness shown to our family. We received the Propeller magazine today (April 2008). In it was the story of how our family (the Lees) came to be part of such a fun sport and such a great group of people.
I can not say thank you enough to Jerry and the rest of you who opened your arms to us and allowed our family to enjoy the sport so many of you enjoy everyday.
Chance is certainly a special boy. Although he is only able to do a fraction of what we as parents wish he could do, he enjoys watching ya'll move fast on the water. He will cheer you on with the best and has no prejudice to who he cheers for.
I see that same spirit in what ya'll have done too. Jerry and the rest of you have seen Chance as a nice, excited, and enthusiastic child who loves boats. Instead of pitying Chance for what he is unable to do, you have shown love and compassion which has in turn motivated kindness.
All I can say is THANK YOU! We look forward to seeing a race again soon!!
