The word I hear is that Big Dave finished 2nd overall in 125cc Hydro, with an elimination heat win and winning the final heat. He jumped the other elim . I think Tetro finished first overall. Mark Stall hit something with his new MJR Hydro and punched a hole in the sponson, last I heard there was chips and sawdust flying in the pits so that they can run the 250 on it tomorrow.
I always thought growing up would be cool, I was wrong!
The other day GG laughed at me because I take more pills a day than she does....
k pro--Amy Nydahl-Wendy Eldridge-Kurt Nydahl
125h-BJ Tetro-David Augustine-David Jones-- 2/1/2 John Maddrell flipped
250r-Tim Small-Buddy Tennell-Chris Hellesten 2 1st/2 for win
350H Gary Buskirk-Bruce Summers-David Weaver 1/2/3 for win
500R Tony Walk-Pete Voss-Mike Thrilby--Mike GJ in third heat 2/2/1 for win
500H Sean McKean-Ike Yoder-David Hooten 1/2/3 for win
Had 48 entries for the day. Mark Stahl indeed did hit something, but had it smoken in the 1st heat, winning going away and then hit something at the end of the heat.
Great weather--no wind to speak of, 80's and it was wonderful compared to Indy!!!!
The only thing I dare report on is K Pro. Joey yanked the J restrictor today, borrowed a prop from Team Eldredge, and let it fly. Joey doesn't want to race J any more He did well as did the other 7 K Pros. It was great to see 8 K Pros doing battle.
overall.....
Amy Nydal
Wendy Eldredge
Kurt Nydal
Joey also borrowed a stellar pit crew. Mr Hoctor will have to help me with names, I know him and Mr. Dewald....We also had a helper from team Thirlby and team Ellison.
Thanks everyone!
Overall winners today (unofficial results) for 125cc Hydro were:
1st - BJ Tetro
2nd - David Augustine (David took 2 1sts then jumped the gun on a 3rd heat)
3rd - David Jones
4th - Ellison (missed the 1st name because of motor noise)
Ralph Donald finished 5th.
Overall winners today for 500cc Hydro were:
1st - Sean McKean
2nd - Ike Yoder (Ike gave Sean a real run for the money)
3rd - David Hooten
4th - Jack Gossman
5th - Jack Wright
There were only 2 boats for the last heat of 500cc Hydro due to 4 dropping out from mechanical issues. McKean and Yoder put on quite an exciting show with McKean pulling out in front on the straight-a-ways but Yoder cutting tight turns to take the lead coming out of each turn. McKean won by barely a boat length.
Tim Small won 250cc Runabout overall and Gary Buskirk won 350cc Hydro overall.
K Pro Hydro had quite a few entries, including new driver Tyler Thirlby.
Amy Nydahl took 1st overall (2 2nds and 1 1st).
Wendy Eldredge won 2 heats but jumped the gun on the 3rd heat so lost 1st place overall due to points. Wendy took 2nd overall.
3rd place went to Kurtis Nydahl. (dad Pete should be proud - 2 winners in the family)
I will be posting pictures over at BRF that I took today after I sort them all out. Everyone had a great time. The weather was sunny and no winds to cause problems.
125r Brian Payn, Dominic Defeebo(sp not correct, sorry Dominic, Buddy Tennell
175H BJ Tetro, Buddy Tennell, Bill Hosler
250h Rob Erble, Brandon Thirlby, Billie Allen
350R Mike Thirlby, Tim Small,
1100H Jack Gosman, Ike Yoder, Brandon Thirlby
Only two heats run yesterday as the wind came up at the end of the day.
Thanks to Robbie and Deborah Eldridge Galleta for the great job with Verticle Rehab for the support for Speedweek southern style. A lot of work for the Title Series.
good turnout of entries and great racing. The 250h race was un-real as Chris Hellesten, Mark Stahl, JP Jedwabny, and David Mitchell in the European looking boats had up and down weekends, but when running went well. Unfortuanately for Marc Johnson, he has plenty of work to do to fix the holes as both new boats struck something out there.
Its ok Ray its spelled DiFebo everybody spells my name wrong no worries.
I was also wondering if anyone was taking pictures at the race on Sunday And if they could post them.

Don Mackrell was set up on the dock with his camera. He usually sends the CD to Dan within a few days.
