  • Who is going to Wilson for the SE Divisonals

I was planning on making the long haul to Wilson (May 3-4) for the SE divisonals. Before committing I wanted to make sure that there were going to enough entries in all of my classes. I was planning on running BMH (350) CMH (500) & FEH (850)

John, there should be plenty of DMH and CMH unless they all get messed up at Tabor City. Can't speak for BMH.

I just went back and re-read the current rulebook ... as a Divisionals, the "fuel of the day" rule may not be used.

Can anyone keep an eye on the gas at the BP station just off of I-95 and make sure it stays legal? Gas in central Maryland is 10% ethanol already this year (checked it with a meter this weekend, it blows alky on the meter like an Irishman on St Patty's day ).

What is the plan if local gas sucks at Whitney Point this summer? Only the guys smart enough to bring fuel are legal? Potential for a lot of very ticked off racers ...

Matt and George Luce bought gas there on the way to Ocoee and was very leagle. I brought gas here and tested the same as usual as long as it BP/Amoco High test and bought out in the sticks should be ok.
Destiny is a matter of chance,it is a matter of choice; it is not a thing to be waited for, it is a thing to be achieved.

George that is good preliminary news ... but gas is blended seasonally. What is available this week may not be the same gas shipped out in May.

I have bought gas at the same place in Jan and Aug and still reads the same -45 to -50 on the meter every time. The only gas BP reformulates is the reg and mid grade and that is right from the BP rep. The high test is refined from a low ash crude which eliminates the need to reformulate.

Good 'CLEAN' Amoco 93 octane is available as you get off exit 116 to head tword the pits. As of last week the fuel was non-oxygenated and not-reformulated! It is 'good stuff'. $3.69 per gallon.
