    carbs...

Sam ....my poorly made point was that the carbs used should at least be indiginous to the 1985 or before models of the triple. I thought I read this somewhere when I first started fooling around with the class. The carbs on the Robb motor appeared to be from the post 85,56 cu in motor.Hence, perhaps, the need for ruling to clarify. Hunter III

It always helps to have the whole story

      Thanks, Hunter.

Sounds like the current rule is sufficient, if not obvious. There are many rules in the rule book that are less obvious.

        mod............

I think that any "conventional style" (no tractor style) lower unit should be allowed on any mod motor, with any gear ratio...............especially if one is allowed to add ports, etc to existing motors..........if previous thought was to keep the costs down (in restricting use of lower units), I do not see how that is in effect now........

if "Mod" is for "tinkerers", why not remove the lower unit restrictions??
