  • Jesup assistance

I have a favor to ask.
The doctor told me this afternoon that it will be at least 7 days before I can get my leg wet. Guess I will be a spectator at Jesup. Here is my problem,...
I can set Joey's stuff up but I can't go in the water. Would anyone be willing to "temporarily adopt" him when it is time for the J's to be in the water?

    Thanks for any assistance,
    Russ

            What's up?

            You banged up?

Can't be any worse than going thru the side of the garage on your dirt bike!

I can't believe you remembered that

I was "jogging" through the water at Lakeland to catch a friends boat and my right leg found an underwater storm drain sort of thing. 8" rip in the same shin I shattered when the garage hit my dirt bike. Lost enough blood by the time I got to the hospital that I went unconcious. My wife said I was out for a while then kept fading in and out. It took over 8 hours to stabilize me and remove the bone fragments and debris. There was concrete and asphalt imbedded in the bone. (plus whatever else lives in the storm drain)
Now I have rubber tubes sewn into my shin for drainage.
Doc says I should be OK for CSR in Ocoee but I have to have my substitute run at Jesup.

Thanks all for the offers to help Joey! It is appreciated!

                  Plenty Of Help

Your boy won't be left on the beach, believe me. Most anyone at Jessup will help out, just the way boat racers are.

                    Thank you

Thank you for the help. Dad keeps saying boatracers are a special kind of people. I know why he says that now.
                    Thank you very much everyone.
