I'm posting this for Brad Wallker.
Region 5 Mod Chairmen Bill Walker was interviewed last week by the local Jacksonville evening news. Safe Harbor boys home is undertaking a hydro project. Bill and his son Brad are helping the the boys out with whatever experise they can lend to the kids.
The boat is based on an old Hal Kelly plan. Obviously not Bill or Brad's choice but the project was started before their input was available. It will be an inboard set up using a Briggs go cart motor that has about 13 HP. Brad is going to be the guinea pig driver. He isn't even sure what type of prop will work. He told me they have some CSH, CSR and 250H stuff for starters.
The hope is to see about 30-40 mph.
There is a link to the video on the APBA web site" www.apba.org "under the news section or the direct link is www.jacksonville.com
